Fishing grounds listed in the menue to your left is a selection of a great number of accessible fishing grounds. The surroundings contains about 170 waters. Please have a look at the map to see them!

About us

The Säfsnäs Fishing Assosiation area holds the lakes around Fredriksberg, the old parish, Säfsen. It contains about 170 watercourses in Western Dalecarlia. The assosiation was founded in 1932. Since then, it has promoted fishing and the fishing custody in the area. It allso supports care and restoration of the waters. This is the fisherman’s paradise! The surroundings of Säfsen offers fishing for both beginners and more experienced fishermen. The beautyful nature sertainly makes the fishing trip extra pleasant. It is easy to get to the lakes and you do not have to spend many hours driving your car.

The spieces you can find in the lakes are: Pike, Perch, Roach, Whitefish, Burbot, Eel, Rainbowtrout, Trout and Chaar. You are only allowed to use one fishing rod at a time when you fish in the lakes and rivers of the area. These rules are also valid for fly fishing. Only if you use a fishing method called "angeldon" in the winter, you are allowed to use 12 angeldon per fishing card. This fishing method is only allowed in the lakes that are not "put-and-take". At most of the lakes you will find wind shelters where you can make fire and grill and there are also information boards by most of the lakes.

Regulations

These regulations applies to all all fishing grounds listed in the menue. You will find specific information about each lake in the menue. The amount of captured sport-fishes is unlimited. We highly recommend to return big fish into the water to assure natural asset. Look in the menue to find certain regulations regarding fishing in game fish waters.

• it is only permitted to use one rod at a time. This applies to all kind of fishing except “angling”, where 12 don/kort is permitted.
• Close to several of our greater lakes there is a windbreak and a loo. Near some of them you will be able to find little cottages.
• Boats for rent are situated at Lisjön, Stora Låsen and Bredsjön.
